Terms

What you get
when you buy.

Plugins, add-ons and guides. What the licence allows, what updates you get, and who answers when something breaks.

01Who is selling

The seller is Andrii Osypenko, a sole proprietor (FOP) registered in Ukraine, trading as CLOUD RIFT. Everything sold here is made, licensed and supported by that one person, referred to below as “we”.

The address for anything to do with an order is hello@cloudrift.team.

02Who processes the order

Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, named at the checkout. It takes the payment, calculates and charges any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are, and sends the receipt.

The provider's own terms apply to the payment itself, alongside these. Where the two cover the same thing — payment, tax, chargebacks — the provider's terms decide. Where they are about the product itself — the licence, updates, support — these do.

03What you are buying

Digital products only: After Effects plugins and scripts, Blender add-ons, and PDF guides. Nothing is shipped.

Each product page says exactly what is in the download, which versions of which software it supports, and what it costs. That page, as it stood when you bought, is the description the product is sold against.

04Delivery

Immediately after payment you receive a download link, and a licence key where the product needs one: on the page you are sent to once the payment has gone through, and by email to the address you gave at checkout.

If nothing has arrived within an hour, look in spam first, then write to hello@cloudrift.team with the order number. A missing link is not a problem with your purchase; it is a problem with an email, and it is fixed the same day.

05The licence

Buying a product gets you a licence to use it, not ownership of it. The licence is for one person, or for one studio — a single business and the people working in it on its own projects.

Commercial work is allowed, and is the point: use it on client projects, adverts, broadcasts, films, anything you are paid for. What you make with a product is yours, and carries no restriction from us.

What is not allowed: reselling the product, redistributing it, or sharing the files or a licence key with anyone outside the licence — including by bundling them into a template, a pack or a product of your own.

Where a product's source can be read, you may read it and change it for your own use. You may not publish it, or publish a changed version of it.

06Updates

Updates within the major version you bought are free. Buy version 1 and every 1.x release is yours at no extra cost; version 2, if there is one, may be sold as an upgrade.

Updates for a product you own are announced by email to the address you bought with. That is part of the purchase, not a mailing list.

07Compatibility

Every product page lists the versions of After Effects, Blender and the operating system it supports. Check them before buying — that check is yours to make, and a product that does not run on a version its page never claimed is not a fault in the product.

Supported versions are tested, not assumed. New releases of the host software are added to the list once they have been, and not before.

08Support

By email, at hello@cloudrift.team. You will have an answer within three business days, from the person who wrote the product.

Support covers installing the product and getting it to work as described. It does not cover teaching After Effects or Blender, or building things with the product for you — that is client work, and has its own conversation.

09Refunds

If a product does not work as described on a supported version and support cannot fix it, you can have your money back within 14 days. The conditions and how to ask are on the refund policy.

After a refund the key stops working, and the plug-in returns to its watermarked mode within a day of its next online licence check. A computer without internet access keeps working until it next connects, and for no longer than seven days.

10No warranty

Products are provided as they are. They are built carefully and used on real work here first, but no software is free of faults, and we do not promise that a product will run without interruption or error, or that it suits a purpose its page does not describe.

Keep backups of your projects. That is good practice with any plugin, and it is assumed here.

11Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability for anything to do with a product is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: lost profit, lost data, missed deadlines, or a render that has to be done again.

Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away a right you have as a consumer where you live.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, and disputes about them go to the courts of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country you live in still apply to you.

Before any of that, write to hello@cloudrift.team. Almost everything is solved in a reply.

13If this changes

The date below is when these terms were last changed. An order is governed by the terms as they stood on the day it was placed; a later change never applies to a purchase already made.
