Real-time refracting glass for After Effects.
Put it on an adjustment layer, give it a shape, and the footage underneath bends through it. Not a blur with a highlight painted on top: thickness, bevel and index of refraction, solved on the GPU while you scrub.

Why it exists
It began as a tool written for a shot. Faking refraction in the timeline meant faking it again for the next shot, so it turned into an effect.
The light is computed, not painted on. Index of refraction, bevel and thickness are worked out on the graphics card while you scrub, which is why the footage underneath actually bends and a still never gives it away.
It ships as one archive for Windows and for macOS on Apple Silicon, with a licence key for up to two computers and free updates for every 1.x release.
Made for shots,
sold as a tool.
